Greater growth at the seed of light

So you thought UV radiation was bad for us? Not necessarily for agriculture

Source: BioLumic

Innovative new UV lighting technology that now provides the ability to control plant size, growth, stress tolerance as well as a range of other consumer quality attributes in a way that has never been commercially achievable before. BioLumic integrates advanced plant biology knowledge and the latest in UV lighting technology to produce Smart Light Arrays (SLAs) and Light Algorithms (which control SLAs to elicit targeted effects for plant development). The current projects under development include seedling germination that increases yield and survival, disease treatment for mature plants, and increased colour and flavour in mature plants.
