A Bioversity International home gardens initiative in Nepal produced yields that nearly tripled from 300kg per year to as much as 900kg per year in some households. A greater range of plants is being farmed. And participating households doubled their overall consumption of produce, including nutritionally valuable vegetables and fruit.
