Each year since 2007 the National Taiwan University has produced a ranking system that is designed to assess academic performance for research universities by using objective indicators to evaluate their achievements in scientific research.

NTU Rankings provide an overall ranking score as well as rankings by 14 selected subjects in six fields.

For Agricultural Research, Wageningen UR topped the ranking with a score of 93.2 – ahead of University of California – Davis (90.0), Cornell (86.9), China Agricultural University (81) and Ghent University (80.8).

Wageningen also scored well in the rankings for both Environment/Ecology and Plant & Animal Science – third place in both, behind UC Berkeley and UC Davis for Environment and UC Davis and Cornell for Plant & Animal Science.

The ranking system employs bibliometric methods to analyse and rank the scientific paper performances of the world’s top 500 universities. More about the NTU Rankings, including methodology and the full ranking lists, is here.
